Battle of Vakland Flats

During the War of Succession, as Tolland's chancellor, Mannen Ortilar, clutched on to his hold over the people, a group of militants merged from a small fishing village near Vakland. Unfortunately for them, despite extensive training for battle, they never thought to scout Vakland's garrison. As they attempted to storm the city of Vaksten a garrison of some one thousand men under the Chancellor's name sprung forth and met them on the Vakland Flats. After hours of fighting and heavy losses for both sides, the garrison gained the upper hand when the Rebel general Haggard the Frothy tripped over a corps and was slain by a heroic swordsmen from the Vaksten Garrison. Following the battle, several other rebel forces abandoned plans to overthrow Mannen Ortilar and dispersed throughout the country, ironically only spreading a general feeling for rebellion (Known as the Rebellious Whisperings)
